Barrow Santa Dash | Outdoor Market area | 23^rd November | 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Join 100s of Santa’s as they dash around Barrow town centre on a 4km run/walk in aid of St Mary’s Hospice. The Santa’s will set off at 2.30pm from the outdoor market area on Portland Walk and will complete five laps of an 800m course around the pedestrianised shopping area within the town centre.

The event is open to all ages and abilities and participants will receive a Santa suit to wear during the event. This is surely a spectacle not to be missed, so even if you don’t fancy taking part, come down to Barrow town centre and support the runners. There will also be street entertainment and live music in the town centre to get you into the festive mood.

Barrow Christmas Light Switch-On | Town Square | 23^rd November | 3.30pm – 6.30pm

The Barrow Light Switch On will take place from 3.00pm – 6.30pm on the town square in front of The Forum. There will be local music and entertainment as well as fairground rides and activities. Father Christmas will be meeting children from his grotto in The Forum… after he’s finished his dash around town of course.  

This year will see new festive lights located in the town centre, which have been funded by Barrow BID. We are sure the new lights will add to the festive spirit in the town, so come along to Barrow town centre and join in the festive fun on Saturday 23^rd November.
