Circus Spectacular 2023

Enjoy fun for all the family at Circus Spectacular: a mesmerising variety show featuring comedy, magic, and international circus acts. Laugh, cheer, and be entertained. Taking place at 3pm on 20th February at The Forum Theatre, it promises to be a show to remember.  Book your tickets now to avoid missing out.

Tap Factory

Dance, acrobatics, music and comedy combine in this must-see show for all the family. Now on its 10th anniversary tour, Tap Factory is sure to get your toes tapping: there are high-energy dance numbers, awe-inspiring acrobatics, live music, and so much more to enjoy.  Book tickets for the show, which takes place on 22nd February at 7:30pm, and enjoy a vibrant evening of entertainment.

See a T-Rex at Barrow Market Hall!

 Visit Barrow’s Indoor Market hall this half term and you might just be in for a roar-some surprise! A T rex will be in attendance on Wednesday 22nd February between 1:30am – 1pm, alongside glitter tattoos and all the usual market stalls to browse too.

Don’t forget: Barrow Market Hall is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am – 5pm.

Discover The Dock Museum

The Dock Museum

Located on a 19th century dry dock, Barrow’s Dock Museum is home to a number of fascinating exhibitions telling the story of the Barrow in Furness area – from its people to its industry. Learn about the Vikings in Furness; Barrow’s ship building heritage; the Romans; and so much more. Keep an eye on their events page to see what’s on.

Explore Barrow’s Nature Reserves

Eider Duck

Barrow is home to a number of nature reserves, where you can discover a fascinating variety of wildlife as well as beautiful walking trails. There are two on Walney Island alone, including the South Walney Nature Reserve – which is home to Cumbria’s only grey seal colony. Kids will love watching the seals playing in the sea.

Barrow Park

Spread across 45 acres, there is plenty to explore in Barrow Park . There’s also Barrow Park Leisure Centre, which includes a fantastic swimming pool complete with wave machine, water slide and fun ‘pirate cove’ interactive water play-zone.

Enjoy a family walk

 Get outdoors and spend time together with a family walk around Barrow. There are plenty of routes to choose from, taking in beaches, sea views, and historic landmarks.

The 3-mile Abbey Circular walk takes you around the stunning Furness Abbey – a great place to stop for a break. The path is pushchair and wheelchair friendly.

The walk from Morrisons supermarket to Roa Island takes in stunning views across Morecambe Bay, while on Walney Island the 21-mile Walney Coastal Path can be broken into smaller sections for younger walkers to enjoy.
