Activities & Attractions at Stage 6 of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain in Barrow
Barrow BID Fanzone
Barrow BID has sponsored a Fanzone in Barrow Town Centre where visitors to the Tour of Britain can:
– Watch the whole stage on a large outdoor screen
– Participate in some static bike races courtesy of DW Fitness
– Take on a timed static bike challenge courtesy of Life Leisure
– Pre-school children can take part in some ride-on races
Dock Museum presents its Wheely Good Party
To celebrate the Tour of Britain coming to Barrow the Dock Museum is inviting everyone, young and old, to join them for a FREE evening of cycle-themed fun on Thursday 6th September 2018.
– Local singer Becki Fishwick will be performing alongside the Paper Cranes and the Barrow Tones
– Live entertainers will be roaming the crowds to wow and surprise you with their acts on wheels
– Best dressed bicycle competition for children – decorate your bicycle and join the parade at 7pm for a chance to win a very special prize.
– A special pop-up exhibition at the Dock Museum to celebrate Barrow’s cycling heritage, past and present
– Delicious hot food will be available from Movable Eats, Browns Farm Shop BBQ and our museum cafe
It is a FREE ticketed event.

This is on the evening before the amazing Tour of Britain comes to Barrow and we are looking forward to seeing you there!
Pedal Your Way to Health Roadshow
Mr Stretch toured the county visiting three schools in each district with the Pedal Your Health roadshow.
The schools were chosen by the six Local Area Committees for Cumbria County Council who have kindly funded the roadshow along with the Lake District National Park authority.
The roadshow will be accompanied by the Pedal Your Way to Health resource.
